Absolutely! It would be boring if we all had the same opinion. I'm more intrigued by what's going on, than choosing one side or the other. It's sort of like a chess match right now, each side figuring out what to do next and what his opponent will do.

The cynic in me is thinking why didn't the PGA make all these changes (which happen to mirror quite accurately what LIV has done) years ago? Why did it take a rival upstart like LIV to force them to do it? Because what it's doing is proving all the negative criticism to be correct: the PGA had vice-grip control of its membership, and it took LIV to make them loosen the purse strings and free up extra prize money that apparently was there all along. How many times over the years have we been flipping channels during the RBC Heritage at Harbor Town -- just as an example, there are many others. If not for the eye-candy course, would anyone even bother to watch it when almost every top player took a week off after The Masters? How often have we been informed that the top player at this week's tournament is #7 or #10 OWGR? And if Tiger is there, Phil won't be? Another five or six left to join LIV this week, and you can bet there will be more before the tournaments in Hawaii. Motor-mouth McIroy should be asking this type of question, but he's too busy being Monahan's lapdog (and too wealthy now to raise a stink). And Jon Rahm is quite correct: how will he manage to play 20 PGA tournaments a season plus at least four on the DP World Tour to keep his membership there, plus any Ryder Cup action he's involved in? Either that will have to change, or even more money offered so those players affected will suck it up. Which brings us to the obvious fact that it is all about the money, no matter which tour they're playing on.

Why are you bad-mouthing McIlroy and Monahan? Who are you to do that? A fellow Pro golfer? This topic was an interesting read when no "experts" chose sides. Bye!

Byeeeeeee PM, I believe you just voiced an opinion, just as I have done. You'll not be missed, nothing personal, strictly business.

I've always been a Woods fan, but I'd say the same about him. These two have so much money already, it's ridiculously easy for them to talk about "meritocracy", like that's going to fill your pockets with gold nuggets. They are rich well beyond what an average PGA player can even fantasize about, so it's too easy for them to keep feeding the goose that lays the golden eggs (perhaps too many metaphors there). The more I read about this, the more I feel this is what was needed to be changed in "Golf" as we know it. If what we see on TV improves, then I'm all for it. BTW, I do appreciate all the courses you and others have uploaded, but at present I'm running a crummy laptop, so I'm holding off playing them until I have a "decent" system to run them on.

I respect Smith and Varner for stating their reasons without bad-mouthing the PGA Tour on the way out.

I hope Immelman can put a competitive team together for the Presidents Cup. He's lost some guns.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Apparently that didn't stop Player from dissing LIV. People can say whatever they like, it isn't a crime...yet.

I would like to talk about Player, but seeing politics is frowned upon I best refrain.
Needless to say I wont bother reading or listening to anything that comes out his mouth.
Lol, and they accuse the Saudis of sports washing......
Actually, he is about as relevant as 'Salty' Couples and the great dimwit Jaime Diaz.....
