Microsoft banner problem

Microsoft banner problem

Every time I open google chrome I get the banner at the top of screen
asking me to download this, add that, etc.
This as been going on for a while.
Is there a switch I can turn off, etc. to stop this. :helpsmilie:
Very annoying. :mad:

This is an example of the banner when opening google chrome. other banners from Microsoft show up like download Microsoft Edge.
sorry I'm not tech savvy to show what it actually looks like.
Can I do something to end this annoyance

If it is the Microsoft Start app that is causing this you could uninstall it. Right click on the Windows start button... left click on Apps and Features....scroll down to Microsoft Start and left click on it and left click on uninstall.

Alternatively, if its running as a startup app you could also try right clicking on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen... left click on Task Manager.... left click on the startup tab, then right click on it in the list and left click on disable. You'll probably need to then reboot your PC afterwards.
