Editing a sound script

Post by Pinseeker444 »

I have been trying to edit out some .WAV files from the Tournament sound script. Although I have removed them from the Reaction Sound Event, the deleted sounds are still there during gameplay! How can I entirely delete these files from the program? Any help would be very much appreciated - I am sick of hearing these comments on almost every tee shot!

Just guessing here. Delete the bad sound wavs, save the file with a slightly different name, replace the old sound file name in the sound folder with the new one.

Thanks, Pete - your mention of the basic act of SAVING reminded me that I probably hadn't saved my edited soundscript.

I have found that the editor in Links 2001 is far better than Links 2003 , as it will find ALL of those .wavs that the editor i Links 2003 misses.
Secondly ,when editing .wavs ...i recommend using the .wav editor ( free version ) by AbyssMedia.
Get it at cnet here : https://download.cnet.com/Wave-Editor/3 ... 05085.html
