Offsetting Shapes For Fringes etc...

Post by wojo »

Because I planned to trace an aerial photo over my DEM file all along, I didn't see the need to draw that rough shape to trace before adding vertices for greens, traps, fairways, etc.. I simply picked and added vertices by picking along the edges I could see in the photo underlay. Now that I'm going to be trying to add green and fairway fringes, I'm thinking I wish I had those rough shapes. Since I don't have these sketchy lines to offset (inflate), will I need to trace my boundaries before I can draw fringe borders, or is there a way to grab and offset the existing boundary lines (that run along the DEM facets)?
