Pete,
I will hold off issuing the FINAL version until 1 December to see if there are any more comments.
Enjoy your tournament. (I am curious as to how it played, is there a way for me to see the final scores?)

Thank you for the comment and I hope you win - naturally.

The scenery of a plot of land in the mountains of NC similar in recent time with leaves turning colors a month or so back along with the hazards being creeks, trees, the hilly mounds and sand traps added to place as well as the strategy Tom Fazio used in laying out this real course is remarkable. As such were the efforts shown by Ian Wells to accurately several times to better represent the up and down elevations look of the course and make playability as compatible as could be here in Links--- notably the realism of the green contours. The textures and trees chosen I would say were exactly right to believe that I was playing the real course almost, but not breathing the air there or shooting surely a higher score and paying a costly greens fee I am certain. This course if a rating system were still in place would certainly be near the top courses, if not now the top one. Another course located nearby that has acclaim also designed by Tom Fazio could almost be a twin to Wade Hampton if were designed here in Links, but thankfully Wade Hampton is available to show beauty of NC in the Blue Ridge Mountains (also sometimes known as the Great Smokey Mountains) especially in this season of the year. Pictures shown in link show beauty of this other nearby course.

I will show link to Wade Hampton and looking through notes says Tom Fazio lives there in summertime. https://www.golfdigest.com/story/wade-hampton-golf-club

Thank you for those kind comments. This course did get under my skin and hence my desire to get the details as correct as I possibly could.
I looked at the Diamond golf course and I will certainly consider it, after (if/when) I finish Peachtree GC.

I mentioned before the oddity of the great golfer Bobby Jones combining with golf course designer Robert Trent Jones Sr., (not related) to build a course Peachtree in 1948. https://www.golfdigest.com/story/peachtree-golf-club
The course designer was noted for having long tees, so as tee areas would not get worn out and I disparaged this aspect when writing about having different angles of tees especially hitting to par 3 holes. His courses were long and challenging for that reason when they were built, but that was then. Here is a list of courses he designed: https://www.roberttrentjonessociety.com ... %20rows%20
Also a more complete list of reknowned courses he initially designed and some that he reworked as a so called Open doctor to change courses to be more competitive for major championships. https://www.roberttrentjonessociety.com ... List-1.pdf
As shown some of the last courses that he designed were in Alabama that we have here in Links, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail before he died in 2000 leaving behind 2 sons that in their own right have made a name for themselves working in the same business as that of their father, Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Rees Jones.
Recently that title has been somewhat assumed by Gil Hanse, who redid Winged Foot for this year's US Open. https://www.top100golfcourses.com/archi ... nse?page=6
Then again there are several other great golf course architects working today, the Coore/Crensgaw team and Tom Doak, who was a student of the recently passed Pete Dye besides real golfers that have done work being Nicklaus, Palmer's design team is still in business and also to mention Greg Norman, who did TPC Sugarloaf that is in Georgia as well.

I got sidetracked mentioning architect of Pinetree. Tom Fazio designed Wade Hampton and the list of his courses besides Wade Hampton has several designed here in Links already and a few more like Gozzer Ranch nearby to Coeur d'Alene location that would be interesting to have designed here in Links as would be Shadow Creek that recently was shown on tv as site of CJ Cup a couple of weeks ago.
