Depending on conditions, pin location, tee selected, and the surrounding area (especially the left side), I think that circle of fairway could come into play. Even for pro clickers. If it's playing downwind, I would consider landing it short of the green if the pin was on the front part of the green.

Just another thought.

Thanks for the input

I think this will be the last "real" course I attempt. It's nowhere near as enjoyable as just creating one myself :wallbash: :pcwhack:

Totally misread the first post and the "circle of fairway." I was only considering the fairway around the green.

Still working my way slowly on this. Only holes 3,4 & 17 to vert and texture before I start on the blending. Don't think it will be totally accurate, but will be at least playable, with lots of planted deep stuff

I will have to make at least 3 stone bridges over the drainage ditches. Not sure yet whether to build from terrain or off plot, I suspect from terrain, as at least one has the tarmac path running continuously over it. Then I will need to build the driving range building and de-shadow the concrete base I've already put in place for it :pcwhack: :wallbash:

Sage

Still lots of verts to go in for some of the seams on that shot. The paths came from something Derrick and Danny talked about regarding blends and extrusions. I do prefer as neat a mesh as possible though.

Finally got all the main textures in. Think I will have a look at the flybys and try and get at least the green areas as good as possible before I seriously start on the blending (except for some of the outer forest and field areas)

All the main blending is done. Now to try and figure out the blending for the many bunkers :bookh: :wallbash:

49 more bunkers to get to this level of mesh, before starting on the blends.

Think I am going to use Lez's technique and create a bunker lip texture with the three textures in one. Will have to make two as some bunkers have rough and some have deep surrounding them.

I could be some time :pcwhack:
