Looking good Sage!

Wow that is a great looking view!

Too bad we can't use 4096x4096 textures in game. That google earth overlay image adds so much realism to the terrain. I would be tempted to leave it as is for the desert areas but I'll leave that decision to the designer.

Any reason for going back to adding verts for texture rings for seam blends and not using extrusions? Just curious.

Is the overlay a texture? If not, it will blow Links up!

Keep in mind that they tend to look much worse up close. It can for example stand out in a bad way if the player can see the border between the stretched out satellite texture and the normal gameplay area textures.

Reckin Adelade is right...depending how close the desert/outta-bounds textures are to the playing area...might look horrifically pixelated if the ball were to drop in to an area with that texture/s...reckon they might look ok though if there were assimilated into a distant/or pano view....time will tell I guess...
