The texturing of the rock formation looks terrific Sage....get some moss fine grasses planted within...tbh...dont like nit-picking..but not too much of fan of the choice of texture for the fairways,,,maybe take a look at Monks job..on Carnoustie...he done a marvelous job on the fairways...just my 2 cents,,,keep up the great work..+1...

Looks like you've got some tiling going on. It can be removed pretty easily, you know. I hope you will release this as a Beta so we can fix it.

Looks awesome Sage! :cheers1:

All the details of the rocks really stand out well. The rough and deep rough / desert textures could easily be swapped for some with less tiling.

This is a course to keep an eye on. The views from the par 3 holes are spectacular!

The 2m grid has an elevation precision of 0.01m (1cm or ~1/3inch). With the courses I am working on it seems that it is enough detail to not need to contour the greens. All you need to do is the seam blending.

Any thoughts or tips on how to deal with the high vert density? Have you added verts for seam blending or are you going to try seam blending by extrusions?

I am so happy that I can help by contributing to the real course design process. Thank you so much for your work Sage!

Hi pmgolf,

I've been wanting to know how to remove tiling for years now. How do I do it?

Hi Linkster,
Thank you so much for your time and effort into the processes you have created....!!!!!!! It is truly a game changer for the designers....!!!!

The only thing I have found to lessen the vert count ( at least for this course ) is to delete the ones that are off course by simplify percentage. On the course with the amount of elevation change defined by a 2m grid density as this one there were not many places to do that without losing elevation detail. It's working out fine for now. I do a save/as VERY often....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has crashed a few times. You can see in the pic below where I deleted some verts.

By the way Linkster, I will most likely extrude most of the remaining seamblends.................
