Fall Courses For Links

Post by 1PuttJeff »

I just thought I would post a query today about fall golf courses for Links. I haven't really noticed any posts in the past in regards to Links courses having a "fall" theme. Offhand, the only Links courses I can remember that had a fall theme were the Microsoft designed course, the Latrobe Country Club, which also had a summer version, Glen Abbey, and finally Autumn Valley, which is an excellent fictional course. If any Links course designers would be interested in creating a fall-themed course, it would be a welcome addition to the Links library of courses! :fcrossed:

The trick here might be finding enough Fall-tinted tree planting sets.

There are a couple of quality Fall-labeled courses in my collection: Seems to me there is another one (or two) oldies out there, I can't think what they might be at the moment, hopefully someone else will respond here.

Looking at the screenshots of the two above, they don't seem quite as intense of a Fall-flavoring as I would like. But, it's probably not fun trying to find enough tree images.

I remembered another one, but then I re-read your post and realized you already mentioned this. :tiphat:
But I did a search for other courses with "autumn" in the name, you might check this one out too (I've never seen/downloaded it before, screenshots show some color scattered here or there):

Wade Hampton GC is built showing early fall.

I am in the beginning to build Mountain Top Golf and Lake Club and I am seriously considering a fall setting.

The National Golf Club of Kansas City will remind you of an early fall theme...

Thanks To Everyone In Regard To Fall Courses For Links!

Post by 1PuttJeff »

I just wanted to thank everyone who answered my query about good "fall" Links golf courses to play. Some of the ones suggested I have played before, such as Autumn Valley and Engineers Golf Club, but there were some I hadn't tried, so thanks for the suggestions! :cheers1:
