Course Release Drought- a record?

Post by Duglis »

What is the previous record for a course release drought? There have been no new courses released since April 14. 5 weeks and 5 days ago.
40 days and 40 nights!

What is the previous longest stretch without a new course release?

It's funny because starting during the lockdown in March of 2020, we had a super course release boom.

be well all

Glenn and Sage are working on my beloved St. George...I'm nitpicking as we go (sort of like Lambton) and trust me it's going to be special.
I'm also using the opportunity to see two of the world's greatest APCD'ers in action.
Like a fine wine it takes time.😉
Hopefully I can pick up enough tips to work on my "Tribute to Thompson".

BTW if any other folks are working on real courses (especially "north of the border") my "pre-Beta" nitpicking services are available so you can "hit the fairway running"!😄

Hey Jimbo,

Leo Allen deserves a mention also........Without his input the course would not exist.

Sage-my bad...Leo my thanks to you as well. Trust me, everybody involved with this baby will get a big thanks when I do the intro.
BTW I'm also going to add some additional commentary when the time comes.

Too busy playing real golf after lockdown and trying to keep my handicap from going through the roof due to this ridiculous new WHS system that we've been forced to adopt by kowtowing to the rest of the world. It was supposed to be simple, so much so that England Golf had to issue a 17-page booklet to try to explain it. They can't even get it right. What's even worse, the handicaps are now calculated by computer (i.e. an idiot programmer), so you either accept it or tough luck. In the old days if you played to your handicap 1 in 5 and beat it 1 in 10 then you could pretty much keep your handicap. I could tell pretty much when I finished a round what my handicap would be. Now it's just a total nightmare.

Cheers

John Brooks (was 11 handicap, now 15 and rising)

oh, there's also the allotment to sort out, kitchen tiling, etc etc
I do have a course on the chocs but I'm afraid it's staying there for the foreseeable future

Been having issues with my mental health since late last year, after being on medication since January, I'm only just now beginning to get back to anything like normal. I've managed to keep my LSPN Tour running and playing a bit, but nothing else. May have to wait until later in the year to get back to APCD :wallbash:
