Copy/Paste Links 2003 Issue

Post by btasm »

Trying to move Links 2003 from old to new computer to save Players, Stats, etc. Cut/pasted Links 2003 main folder from external hard drive to new computer. Placed in C/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games (a folder I created). Also cut/pasted Links 2003 folder from Documents folder (with Career, Recorded Players, Saved Games and Saved Shots folders in it) to PC/Windows (C)/Users/Documents (another folder I created).

The game runs, but none of the existing Players, Saved Shots, etc. are there. Also, when trying to create a new player, there are no photos of players' faces so I couldn't go further until I downloaded a player ani from here, placed it on the desktop, and navigated in game to the ani's face and chose it. Then it worked.

Where did I go wrong? Am I missing something? I am running Windows 10 Home.

Yes, you're missing a folder in /Program Data/. It is Links 2003 and it contains 4 sub-folders: /Course data/, /Mops/, /News/, and /Players/. Players has player info and pictures of them.
