Odd message when placing aim marker

Not a biggie, but odd thing happens sometimes when placing aim marker, thus far only in practice mode.
After aiming and left clicking marker, a message box appears and states: "Connection Status. Time out in 60 seconds." Yet, I didn't go online. The seconds don't tick off and when I swing, the message disappears - until the next time the marker is employed.
If I exit, then return, the problem ends. On exiting, I also get a message: "Duplicate free detected at address 0xa325510". This only started recently. Any ideas?
