After installing the game, do I need to install any patches other than the 1.07? I seem to recall 1.07 contains everything I would need from 1.02 and 1.05. Right?

That's my understanding, but you need to install the Nvidia Update patch, too, no matter what kind of video card you have.

Having to re install Links
Simple, follow these steps in order.

1 install Links
2 install v1.02
3 install v1.05
4 install v 1.07
5 install links NVIDIA patch
6 install lspn crash fix
7 install LSPN_MAIN_L2K3
Procedure,
Place all the files in the links main folder (including RuKsHuk.exe).
To install the patches, just double click on them, it will be done automatically.
Good luck, see you on the tees.
Robert (aka Obelix)

NB: LSPN_MAIN will set the proper IP within Links to play ON-LINE

You've already taken care of the first four steps.

The links on the home page here to the updates and nVidia patch are all non-functional. Where else can I find them?

Nevermind. I found the 1.07 and nVidia patches at Links Country Club. I have an onboard graphics processor, Intel HD 4000. I shouldn't need the nVidia patch for that, should I?

Yes - the nVidia patch does other things, too, like give you more widescreen selections.

I have installed or re-installed links2003 on 4 different win.10 machines, successfully. I believe the main reason for my success is installing Links in a seperate folder, not in the Programs(86) folder. Then I run 1.07 patch, Nvidia patch & only then starting the game. Used digital version for all win.10 installs.

Take care,
g3b :cheers1:

I agree 100%. Don't install it in the /Program Files (x86)/ folder! Microsoft has really screwed that option up with Windows 10.

I've always followed the steps that I pointed out a few posts above and have never had an issue, regardless of the OS. I would've have never thought of not installing in the Programs(86) folder, but it's never been an issue for me.

I found that when I had links installed in there, I could never see my course that I was working on, when I wanted to try it in Links. I would save from APCD to Links, but it wouldn't be available. I now have both APCD and Links in a new folder I created myself, and no problems.

Cheers, AJ
