PGATour.com Leaderboard

Post by FOOOOORE! »

Has anyone else checked out the new feature on the leaderboard? Click on a player, click on any hole on his scorecard (in any round), then click on the red "3D" button. It takes a while to load on my slow wifi, but looks pretty impressive when it's all done, way more than I expected. Kinda reminds me of something else, can't quite put my finger on it

Thanks for highlighting this  It might be a feature that will only be available for some courses, I had already noticed before that different tournaments have varying degrees of information on their menus like that such as pin locations etc. But if its something they plan on doing for courses that dont have elevation data on Google Earth or hole location sheets already that would be very very exciting from a designer perspective. I feel like most likely they're basing it off Google Earth elevations so probably wont happen but who knowns, either way its indeed a neat feature
Finished Courses - Main: Amedal (fictional), Nine Bridges (real)
Other: Austin, Sheshan, Kauri Cliffs, Le Golf Nat. Updates: Whirlpool, Royal Lytham, Royal St George's, Chicago, Chambers Bay, Munchen Nord E
Working on: 2 fictional courses + a couple things...

It's a useful option for people like me that can't watch live golf anymore (Philippines doesn't do golf, it's all volleyball & basketball  ). And even if I could find live action online, my wifi would likely be too slow.
