Playing 80's golf games again!

Post by Still Linksing »

Yes! Look!

Just fired up my Gameboy and Golf from 1989 for the first time in maybe 25 years.
Kept my Gameboy in mint condition and it still works perfectly.
Tried Golf and it's a heck of a lot of fun and surprisingly difficult.

Anyone else have one of these? Going to have to try out Jack next!

Happy Birthday old fella! You know you had enough of those birthday things I could very comfortably be calling you daddy!

I just pulled something else out. Night time here now so I'll take some pics during the day tomorrow and put them up.

The Gameboy is fun! Tried it a few years ago and thought it was dead. No picture, I was devastated. Every now and then I checked online to see if anyone was making replacement internals for the original Gameboy.
Came across a forum post where someone wanted to know the same thing and he got a reply asking if he had checked the contrast wheel.
OMG! Duh came to mind immediately. :pcwhack: :wallbash:
I raced to the spare room with 4 AA's, fired up the Gameboy, turned the contrast wheel and watched the screen come to life. :kicking: :clapping:

Happy birthday Danny D.
Geez,, 73...I've got underwear older than that!.
Only kidding.... don't know if I am the oldest (in age) here but will be 95 12/31.
Don't feel it and they tell me I don't look it.
The secret, be positive, one day at a time and a lot of luck.
The luck was in WW2 when I went through the battle of Okinawa as a marine. Got hit with a japanese
hand grenade, left shoulder, had a corpsman dig out what he could and continued on to the end.
Tutned down the Purple Heart as I thought i didn't deserve it.
Hope I didn't bore too many of you.
