1st albatross

Post by Captain Nemo »

I have been playing the Links/Microsoft Golf games since day 1, but I have never posted about a Links achievement before. Today after all those years I got my first albatross, on the 3rd hole @ the Honda (Par 5), playing along with the PGA Pros on the TV. my 2nd shot was a punched 3 wood (range 270) from 268 yds and it went in. Played Links 2001 until 2006, and had 261 holes in one, but never an albatross and in Links 2003 I have yet to get a hole in one, but now I have that albatross. :clapping:  :cheers1:
I always wanted to write something intelligent in my signature. Now that I think about it, I guess I just did! :clapping:

In Links 2003 ...yes! In real life, I have had 5 in those years and 7 total in the 65 years I have been golfing. So really .... just posting. Not complaining.

One thing I would like to know, was there any audio coming from the Captain when the ball dropped?
I know with me there usually is during such events!

Weird things happen, I shot three eagles on par-5's yesterday on that new Dorado Beach course, and they were all chip-ins. I ended up with 14 putts on the round.

Cool, those are even harder than HIOs. Would love to see the replay. BTW I had one of those rare HIOs the other day where the ball just flies into the hole without hitting the green surface at all.
