Sports Trivia Question

Post by Lez Marwick »

Can you name any sports that use a brush?

I know of 4.....

1. Curling - used by the team to control the stone's speed

2. Bouldering - used by the climbers to improve the grip before climbing

3. Sumo - used by the officials to clean the dojo between the fights

4. Snooker - used by the referee to clean the table between frames

Does anyone know of any others?

If we can get technical, golf could be said to use brushes in their ball washers and spike cleaners.

Curling- the brushing makes the rock go straighter and further...it doesn't make the rock go faster-the speed is strictly in the delivery.
In the old the players used to use real corn brooms.
