Uploading an image from your own PC

Post by FOOOOORE! »

I tried to do this today, roughly in the format [image]http:///##.##.##.##/C:/folderondrive/image.jpg[/image] where ##.##.##.## is my IP. But that doesn't work. Anyone have the correct syntax to do this? I also tried leaving out the IP, and changing any non-UNIX-allowed filename characters, but no luck so far.

To do that sort of thing you would have to have Apache for Windows or something similar running on your PC to serve requests.

Even if you got that working, I'm not sure the forum software would display it. :dunno:

Thanks, I had a feeling it was going to be a policy issue and not just a syntax error, because that explains why most images I've ever seen here are for new course uploads or avatars. No biggy.
