Re: How to identify trees

Hi Ironman, Adelade gave you a great answer but will add incase you or anyone else could use it. I like to create a unique planting set for any course I'm working on and will add any 2d that I'd think I could use as you are able to clear clutter and locate objects faster. There are some in the 2d ob...

Re: Harbour Town

Thank you Ron, I take a spin from time to time. I'm happy folks are still able to enjoy it. When I think back it's been 17 or 18 years since the original was released..... Where do the years go?

Re: How do I delete a top view from a 2D object?

Hi all, I delete top views on any flower, bush, grass, house that are in the 2-d object class, usually anything that isn't a tree. It's a simple fix. Use one of the objects in the 'object type' or import something to that type if everything has a top view. Do not try this if you've already started p...

Re: What do You Use for "V WRAP"?

Hi Danny D! I think what you are describing is an extension of what Eddie is talking about. The default planar size of 16 covers a square of 16ft x 16ft. A path mapping with a v wrap size of 16 maps the alpha to 16ft long until it starts again and repeats. Changing the v wrap to 4 or 10 would repea...

Re: Seminole Golf Club

Seminole is looking great Eddie! I compared one of your in game screenshots to the Golf Digest flyover video and the terrain looks spot on! It is wonderful to have one of the premiere designers come back to this great game! Any words of advice on what it is like working with a 2m grid DEM import? I...

Re: What do You Use for "V WRAP"?

Hi Dan, I usually put 10 in the v-wrap but have put less and can use more depending on the alpha channel. I've always used roughly that number and felt it worked. The way I remember it is a texture basically takes up 16 foot square by default the v-wrap is a ten you're seeing more of the blend in a ...

Re: Seminole Golf Club

Thanks Glenn, I do hope you're progressing well with your projects. People that know me personally say I'm too patient, Some thoughts..... I do have close to a one month update and stated goals for the next month. I have 6 holes in and 5 seam blended minus the waste sand as previously stated. I do f...

Re: Augusta National 2023

This thread has taken a strange turn. I can remember when the course locker came out and all designers locked their courses. I think it's great that some designers leave their courses unlocked for others to learn or grab textures..... Obviously I fall in the camp of designers that share locked cours...
