Re: Wonderful Golf Courses
Quidnet by John Weinrieb is brilliant, as are The Links at Ballylecum - with a 3D area that you can chip into and around - and Old Cypress Golf Course which he released as a Pay to Play. I don't think John ever got the recognition he deserved. All three of those courses are wonderful to play.

Re: Allen Meadow Pines Estate GC (my personal review)
Thank you Sage. I am constantly astonished at the level of detail you and the other top designers manage to get into your courses. Loved the course!

Hockley GC
I just played Hockley for the first time. It's one of John Brooks' wonderful series of British golf clubs which he released during 2017. I enjoyed the course very much and shot even par. That included an 11 on the 13th which I 9 putted... Bit of a tricky pin position there John!

Re: ....'s Top 100 courses!
What's wrong with Tish Island? No one ever seems to mention this course. Granted that some of the greens are a bit dodgy, but the course is interesting, challenging and visually very different and I have always really enjoyed playing it for those three reasons.

Re: Easy Courses
Thanks for that. I actually got my current p/c built for me with Links in mind. My big worry is that in a couple of years the latest generation of hardware just won't support an ancient old game like Links! I am 67 now though, so it may be a toss up who survives the longest...

Re: Easy Courses
Well, a long time ago when issues started coming up with new Operating Systems running Links, I did actually think about buying a couple of p/c's with XP installed and putting them in the attic and using them just for playing Links 2003. The problem was that my wife would have complained a bit if I ...

Re: Easy Courses
I know about people continuing to use Windows 7. Setting up a new P/C to do that is a bit beyond me I am afraid! I actually found that I played best with XP... Still the best Golf Sim I have ever played though.

Re: Easy Courses
I'm with migolfer. My p/c crashed and I had to reinstall everything including Links about a year ago. I didn't realise I was playing at Elite Level for a couple of months as my settings still showed Pro but I was a LOT worse than I used to be. And I was really struggling - a bit like Rory... So in d...
