Re: Good Skies
Always random skies between the 170 ones in my skies folder. I already went through and removed a lot of skies twice in the past, and if I ever get around to it, I plan on doing it once more to maybe go down to around 100. Most of my absolute favourite skies are almost-sunset ones, but I dont want t...

Re: Austin CC 2022 in Devlopment
Thank you  Yeah I liked your bridge John, I plan on trying to make a similar one. Im doing the PGA routing, like your last version (for anyone wondering - the first and second nines get swapped). Thank you so much for introducing me to this wonderful course! Without your versions, I never wou...

Re: k club smirfit course
If he didn't think he needed more pins---it's kind of presumptuous for us to think we do. Strongly disagree with that wording, designers have full authority on what they give the players, sure, but designers do not have any authority over what players desire. Just because someone doesnt design, tha...

Re: Austin CC 2022 in Devlopment
Finished vert-painting the fairways and tees, plus river, ponds, creek water, main roads and a sort of course area perimeter. Then I built one green and basically finished that one hole (#2), just to make sure my plan for structuring things doesnt turn out to have any nasty surprises on all holes la...

Re: k club smirfit course
Same with Doonbeg, K Club Palmer, and Amsterdam (where two greens only have 1 pin), all by John Aherne. They are locked, and while John Aherne possibly might have unlocked versions, no one seems able to get him to respond to messages about those courses. Otherwise I like all 4 of them a lot, so it i...

Re: Coeur d'Alene Golf Course
On one hand, I feel like, its not that important exactly how the tournament course turns out, Im sure I'll be happy with it either way, but on the other hand, the course is so fantastic that trying to get every little detail "perfect" is totally worth it! So I will happily discuss things l...

Re: Coming soon....
I checked the beta out in practice mode, and also afterwards went to play hole 16 normally in a separate practice mode session. Not many observations or impressions to report on, things look really good! Very much looking forward to playing a full round on the final release. A few notes though: -The...

Re: Coeur d'Alene Golf Course
To the discussion of the scorecards, let me add this: Me and Dan discussed the old scorecard over a year ago, how the yardages on it in many cases seemed way too long to fit the holes. I remember even looking at historical satellite images to see if the course was built longer in the past and it def...

Re: Realistic grasses
I cant say for sure, but based on how it felt when I played that course in the past, I strongly suspect the dampening is just way too high on those grasses. They're probably around 50% or maybe even higher.
