Re: transferring courses to external hard drive
All you need to do is move the .crx file to a folder you've created. Those .crx files can be moved around all you want. I have a course folder for "archived" files called Other Courses. The folder can reside anywhere on your hard drive (or external drive). But the the Links game will only ...

Re: Fictional Coastal Links
I'm sure everybody has their own preferences. I don't mind hard-to-hit fairways as long as there is a playable rough before I get off into the deep stuff. Good luck with the new course!

Re: Links Error message on start up
Does the same thing happen if you launch the game with the Links 2003\LinksMMIII instead of LinksLauncher? Brilliant! I don't know if the game placed the Links Launcher as the shortcut on my desktop or if I created myself, but that (Links Launcher shortcut) was the issue. When I clicked the Links L...

I am reinstalling Links on a new computer setup. I have the game playing correctly (yea!) but when I launch I get an error (see image below). I installed from the original disk and installed (and reinstalled, and re-reinstalled patches 1.02, 1.05 and 1.07 plus the nVidia patch plus the LSPN patches ...

If it is a laptop definitely check out what TexAgs mentioned: https://linkscorner.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=7232#p723 Although I've often seen the Intel issue addressed as related to laptops, from personal experience, it does not need to be a laptop for a computer to have problems with Intel. :dunno:

Re: View Golf Ball (shots) with Top Cam
Yes, it has Intel chips but it has been fine with several other computers I have had with Intel chips. Are you using the same computer now that you had the last time you were playing Links? If you are on the exact same computer, and you had ball flight before but not now, then I don't know what to ...

Does your computer have Intel chips? Intel can cause display issues.

Re: Aiming
I think the designer can define the line of play off the tee box, but after that the computer takes over and normally aligns you to the pin (when in range although there is the occasional outlier). The designer can aim the tees but I do not know how much effort each designer will put into each tee b...

Re: CHAMPIONS CLUB
If anybody is working on either of the Champions Club courses in Houston just make sure that the water on the fairways and greens is deep enough and that there's plenty of mud in the bunkers!๐๐๐ I understand the high premium some people place on the "realism" aspect of the design, but the...
