Re: LIV

The 12-man Euro team has been announced, and there is no LIV player on it. That pretty much confirms my suspicion that politics played a major part in ensuring exactly one LIV player made the Ryder Cup, to have us all believe "there is no ill feeling". Strange how there has been zero news ...

Re: Crooked Stick Final

I like that web page too. About 35 of those photos will become wallpaper once I do a bit of cropping and get the right aspect ratio

Re: LIV

So Brooks Koepka is a captain's pick for the US Ryder Cup team. That must have taken some spine. I notice pgatour.com still avoids mentioning LIV like Superman avoids kryptonite. The Euros haven't finalized their 12-man roster yet, so that list isn't available. https://www.pgatour.com/article/news/l...

Re: 7,000 YARD COURSES

Can you elaborate on how global warming helps on this as opposed to technological advances? Simple, overall there is less unusable land being covered by permafrost or glacier. By extension, that will include land that previously couldn't be used to build golf courses. As far as golf courses are conc...

Re: 7,000 YARD COURSES

Actually, despite the current population of Earth, only a small portion of available land is occupied by humans. There are various estimates, but somewhere between 10% and 15% seems in the ballpark. If anything, global warming is freeing up more previously uninhabitable land, assuming advances in te...

Re: BC FIRES

Kelowna has 150,000 people. The only good thing is it's widely spread out, you pretty much need a car to get anywhere. But it's always bone-dry there, the water they pump out of the Okanagan is used mostly for the vineyards and orchards, not much lawn-watering going on.

Re: LIV

The major change occurred once Bell took over. How I despise that company, and not because of the golf venues.

Re: Off The Deck

It has to go far enough to land inside a whale's blowhole, I thought George explained that thoroughly.

Re: BC FIRES

I know that in the big picture it's not the most important issue but Whistler is still safe...let's put it this way-if Whistler is in trouble so is Vancouver. I lived in Kelowna in 1980 for about 5 months (even picked wine grapes! Until I cut my hand open with a ring knife ) Then I found a t...
