A Course Idea....Is This Even Possible

Thanks to Linkster getting me the DEM for Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West, I have officially dipped my toe in the course building water. My time is divided between a bunch of stuff right now so my progress on course design is moving at a snails pace, but messing with APCD did give me thi...

Re: A Not So Subtle Tease......

PinHi, You were my inspiration man. You took the time to critique my work early on with honest feedback. Some of my early stuff sucked and you basically said as much without saying it in those words. I've been a baseball coach for 23 years so I appreciate coaching and feedback and genuinely try to s...

Re: A Not So Subtle Tease......

Tommy Fleetwood came up on my list tonight so it was time to experiment with some hair. Just so you don't think I'm nailing these on my first attempt, the version below was about my 7th effort. I'm happy with it for the most part. Below we have the real Tommy Fleetwood, the Maya Fleetwood and then t...

PGA National - Glenn Braden

Glenn, I noticed you worked on this course. I'm watching the PGA tournament this weekend at PGA National and noticed the 10th hole is now a Par 5 instead of a Par 4 without much, if any, change to the course. Any chance, with the course being locked, that you can hop into it and change that hole to ...

Re: A Not So Subtle Tease......

Worked on a bucket hat tonight in Maya and this is what I have so far. Note, this is a very different hat than the one the animasters made for Ted Ray back in the day. I re-shaped the regular hat to look more like a bucket hat similar to the one Joel Dahmen wears and Greg Norman wore. My screenshots...

Re: Simulator and Links...

Dave, I use Steam for all my "newer" PC gaming needs. Steam is basically a portal with a library of games that manages the installation, storage, licensing, etc. of PC games. Just install the Steam client on your PC and then search the library of available titles. The search results will t...

Re: A Not So Subtle Tease......

Thanks gents. Really just doing a bunch of experimenting and then sharing some of the cooler things with the group. I've already done some height manipulating, but thought this was cool. On the left is a 6'0" Brooks Koepka then a 6'4" Matt Kuchar to his right and then 5'7" Lee Trevino...

Re: A Not So Subtle Tease......

Definitely still learning, but figuring some stuff out. Below are pics of a fuller figure Shane Lowry with a beard that no longer is attached to his face. I believe this is the first ever 3D beard on an animation. It's also the first gut to hang over the waste line. Not necessarily attractive, but l...

Re: Simulator and Links...

The problem with using Links on a launch monitor today is that it isn't true 3D. It's kind of a poor man's or redneck 3D. With the 3D options that are out there now and even more being made daily with the evolution of Trackman, it doesn't make sense to use Links. Now if the hardware to run these fan...

Re: Simulator and Links...

I might be dating myself a bit here, but I've actually played a golf simulator using Links. When golf simulators were first created in the late 90s/early 2000s the physics engine that was used, or the software that the simulator was running was Links. I played two rounds on it in Atlanta. I believe ...
