Re: A Course Idea....Is This Even Possible
It would take some work but this could be done within QGIS. It would basically involve doing a DEM plot of every hole, done to the same size, and then placed together in QGIS. Once all the rasters were aligned together in QGIS (maybe a 3x6 tile layout) the DEM import would proceed as usual. The sat...

Re: A Course Idea....Is This Even Possible
I think you can only do one DEM import at one point for any single course file, so I dont think it would be possible to do what you want with DEM, at least not in the traditional way. Possibly one might be able to manipulate the DEM import to contain several holes from different courses before load...

Re: TOURNAMENT PIN PLACEMENTS
Thanks Jimbo,
On most of my tournament courses, the hard pin placements are from the tournaments.

Re: Winged Foot East
After downloading my work on Winged Foot East and Glenn Braden's Winged Foot West, I have to say It would be a travesty for me to finish the East course. Glenn has done a magnificent job with the West course I feel only he could do the East course any justice. :clapping: So I'm out of doing anythin...

I also have the digital subscription, so if any are needed. I can get you the prepared tga's fairly quickly. Although with linksters dem's you don't really need them. I usually only use them now for pin placement or if I see a green that looks somewhat off.

Re: Pga West stadium course
Pete, But it only takes 500 or so hours to do a course. I think those are Sagehours. Although I am getting faster at completing a course, it takes me closer to 800+ hours. Never really thought before about how many hours Ian. It's interesting, I might log 'em next time. I estimate that Maun...
