Good news, amazingly it looks like this was resolved with the latest Radeon driver 24.1.1 which came out a few days ago. I've tested about 15 of the courses that used to crash before, and they play all the way through. I have closed the issue on the AMD forum.

Unfortunately the problem still exists with the latest Radeon driver 23.12.1.
I can't say for certain if the problem exists outside the NAVI generation cards of which I have one (5600XT) which is a bit older now (circa 2020).

I really enjoyed playing this course. I think I was attracted to the great contrast on it with the fairway color and the darkness of the tops of the cypress trees. The ARC cards had some issues w/ early DirectX games, which Links2K3 is, when they were launched. The drivers have improved considerably since then, but there haven't been any reports of attempting to run Links 2003 on them that I've seen. It's pretty niche as you'd imagine.

Sage, I've determined it's crashing with a recent AMD video driver update, happened just now with Carlyon Lake as well. Apologies for the false alarm. :)
