Golfer Confidence Levels
I have a feeling I read something about this many years back. If your player is doing well, the Links game algorithm increases his confidence level, and consequently you get straighter drives, 50/50 putts tend to drop and so on. If he is playing badly, then confidence level goes down. Well, my playe...

Re: Winged Foot West - US Open 2020
Those are pictures of the real course I thought they were as I could see things like the tyre tracks in the grass, which I doubt could be replicated like that in APCD. But still think the course looks amazing, I have never seen it before or played a round on it in Links. So yeah, pics look amazing ...

Re: Lez' Fairway Grid of Vertices
Hey there Danny, you're right about that. In fact that is exactly what I'm doing with Kingston Heath. So in that case it makes no difference really. But for somebody starting a course without doing that, perhaps their own design, then it will make a difference whether they choose square or triangle....

Re: Tee Planting
when you plant tee's in the apcd over each other for the same yardage they sometimes will show as one tee of two different colors but that only shows up in the apcd. There is a way to make that happening game but I can't remember how to do it, either Paul Seaman or one of the old designers showed m...

Re: Lez' Fairway Grid of Vertices
Looking at that screenshot, it seems to me like a standard triangle mesh was used as the course base, and the verts in the fairways have been manually added and positioned. But Lez would be the person to confirm if that is the case. I don't think I have come across any courses other than my own, whe...

Ani Tutorials?
Just wondering if there are any good tutorials around, to learn how to put a new ani into links, as well as create custom shirts? I found the downloads on this forum for the golfer utility. BUT, the tutorial was only a broken link, page doesn't exist. http://linkscoursefiles.co.uk/misc/golf_shirt_tu...

Re: Classic swing issue
I have that happen to me in the past, and it seems it is usually an issue with the mouse not registering a click. So try a different mouse, one of the best for links (for me anyway) is older corded ones rather than the wireless ones. A corded mouse just seems to be more reliable with detecting your ...

Re: Course Verification Strategy...
There is a check list to look at which tells you what needs to be done. But usually, it comes down to 2 simple things... pins and tees. You could actually just define a hole, turn one triangle of mesh to green texture, and another to tee texture, and plant a tee and pin. That's it, validate the cour...
