Re: APCD From Start To Finish - Video Tutorial Series
I remember coming across a Lez cart path instruction... I don't see a title for Cart Paths in the list. Which video covers that?

Re: Need Hardware Recommendation...
I've followed his tutorials on this. You have to drag the cursor with either one of those methods on my APCD... equally frustrating. When you use the Freehand method, doesn't the curve close with a straight line when you stop? I probably should have mentioned... I'm trying to accurately trace the ca...

Need Hardware Recommendation...
I'm getting old and my hand is not as steady as it used to be... Trying to freehand a cart path in APCD using a bulky standard computer mouse feels kinda like trying to sign your name in that little plastic window at the bank... like trying to write on ice with a stick. I'm wondering if anybody out ...

Re: Anyone Interested In Checking My Course?
Yes! I just realized I should publicly thank Danny D. for his help. I imagine the golf course I'm working on would probably close and turn into a hillside full of blackberries before I figured it out on my own!

Anyone Interested In Checking My Course?
I'm officially stumped... My course is validated but it won't play. I've completed all the items in the checklist for the first hole. When I hit START PLAY, it flashes to a window briefly and then Links disappears. Before I invest more time into planting trees, etc. I'd like to get it running. Anyon...

Links Crash... Can terrain be below sea level?
I've got another post "Course Verification Strategy" where I started another topic. If you look there, you'll get a better background on where I'm at building my first course. I seem to remember seeing something (in a tutorial maybe?) about not having part of your DEM file with elevations ...

Re: Course Verification Strategy...
I don't know... It seems I've come pretty far with a brand new program for a 69 year old in a week. I only ask questions when I can't find the answers in the tutorials, or if I try to fix something per suggestions and it doesn't work. Back to my crashing problem... I seem to remember seeing somethin...

Re: Course Verification Strategy...
As a matter of fact, I did. There's nothing in that post about verifying courses or crashes. Nice try!

Re: Course Verification Strategy...
Thanks for the clue. I went through deleting all the hole layouts, tees, and pins. Then I marched through all the holes repeating the work. The course validated. I was able to load it up in Practice Mode in Links 2003. All the buttons were blue, so I checked them all. When I try to Start Play, I bri...

Course Verification Strategy...
I verified my Salishan GC for the first time... I got 7 playable holes. I'm currently going through each hole, flattening the greens and tees, and then doing some terrain work around those... tilting greens slightly. When I save the whole course, the "repaired hole" still isn't playable......
