Re: Where is everyone from?

I selected other, as I am English who lives the summer 6 months in Belgium and winter 6 months in Mexico. My butt follows the sun  Ian So living in Belgium counts as "following the sun"?? Haha, I spent a few months in Europe July-Sept one year, and froze. I had to buy new clothes, ...

Re: Winged Foot West - US Open 2020

I feel a lot of sympathy as I have had similar issues, though never that bad. While I'm no expert on objects getting corrupted I can at least tell you what I would do if I was in your place. First, I would open the course in Links Extender, and extract all the 2D objects. Just the biggest size of ea...

Re: APCD really annoyed me last night!

when you say you deleted the texture how did you do that? you cannot delete textures you either have to replace them or overwrite them with a new texture. If you delete a texture in the APCD it can mess up your entire user.lib which can cause the exact problem you are experiencing. Well, the list o...

Re: APCD really annoyed me last night!

Hey Dan No, I have never opened a pano in APCD. I have read the warnings for that, along with other bad things such as no reg holes. So I'm careful. I can tell you exactly what I did. I was doing a seam blend around a new pond. The blend was mud to water, so I get a nice rough edge, rather than the ...

Re: APCD really annoyed me last night!

OK, that worked. Thanks so much Lez, you have saved me a huge amount of re-work, I really appreciate it. I see my new user lib is 20 something mb compared to 68 on the old one. Adelade, when I say a fresh install wouldn't work, I wasn't quite correct. What I should have said, was that I would get th...

Re: APCD really annoyed me last night!

Try moving your user.lib out of the APCD folder and then load your course. This should generate a new user library and hopefully will restore everything to how it should be, providing that you use a course saved before the problem happened. Didn't know that would help, but I'm prepared to try anyth...

APCD really annoyed me last night!

So, I was doing some work on a course, it's a completed one but adding some bits and pieces, few new ponds bunkers etc. Anyway, there was a custom texture I didn't want so I deleted it. Did get a message that it was used on the course but as I was going to replace it with something else that shouldn...

Re: error looking for hard drive?

I seem to have this issue every time I do a new install. From the discs which I purchased way back when the game was released. Didn't realise it was something others suffer from, and I don't even know how I got that to stop. I keep fiddling with settings and sooner or later the problem seems to fix ...

Re: Terrain Housecleaning...

Select the texture and then click the "advanced Properties" icon below the list of textures. That gives you the options to create new, clone or delete. Just choose delete and the texture will be removed from the list.

Re: Golfer Confidence Levels

I'm a great believer in the power of positive thinking. But I really don't think that is the case with this. When you think about it, a lot of games have some sort of similar algo built into them. No reason that Links wouldn't. And like I said, I'm pretty sure I read some documentation about it some...
