Re: Colonial CC Update...

I have not played other golf games for awhile thanks to issues with Windows 10. I seem to remember that one or two of them showed what your arc trajectory to target was depending on which club was chosen and this was a good aid when shooting over trees. Recently saw a post somewhere here in Links th...

Re: Set Wind Direction?

Ian Wells would be able to give you this answer. In old forum remember him getting advice from another designer Duckhook, who told Ian that original APCD designer was set up entirely opposite than way end result turned out. Regarding Wade Hampton that Ian designed it is in western mountain area of N...

Re: Chicago Golf Club-Beta-V1.2 BETA

6,950 total yardage comes from Wikipedia. Hole #9 tee is not way back, so have to layup not to drive into pond in Sage's version. The back tee actually is to left of #8 green and that alone would add 50 yards to this hole. Hole #7, Redan does have right to left sloping green downhill, but somehow Ho...

Re: Chicago Golf Club-Beta-V1.2 BETA

Sage......no playability issues on the course. Great job, as usual ! But I'll have to admit, I've never seen such unusually shaped greens on any course. Especially completely square or rectangular ones. But that is, indeed, how they really are in course photos. Also, it's kind of surprising to see ...

Re: COURSES i WOULD LIKE TO SEE

Whatever the PGA Tour event is called at the Austin CC (Tx), Google Earth has a terrific image of every hole. Here is a screen capture that shows the Latitude and Longitude of the course: s_1001 Austin CC Tx.jpg Pete John Brooks did this course. https://linkscorner.org/courses/course.php?crz=2384

Re: Courses with the Toughest Greens

RobV left out playing conditions as a factor since challenging conditions were introduced about 2007 and courses designed before that had only firm/fast as toughest conditions in which to play. Also where pin locations are set is a factor to be taken under consideration. There are some courses where...

Re: Chicago GC?

Course is listed as par 70 and 6950 yards long. Could add say 10 yards for par 3's, 20 yards for par 4's and 30 yards for par 5's making course play 340 yards longer at 7290. Not sure if some holes require lay ups for drives as have to use 3 woods at most, otherwise run out into trouble. If so that ...
