Re: Nine Bridges Course at Jeju Island
Yes, those are the ones I was referring to, and I kept just the images minus the text overlays (which might be also helpful in course design). The course is a work of art, obviously designed for its looks as well as for playing golf. Google Earth can be finicky with elevations, and it isn't unusual ...

Re: Nine Bridges Course at Jeju Island
It's a beautiful-looking course, I'd certainly be interested in playing it. I grabbed all 18 "hole overviews" from pgatour.com the week the TOUR played there and used them as wallpapers, did you happen to see those photos?

Re: Amedal GK - Fictional Course Full Release
My only reservation is the 5th hole. It doesn't seem very realistic to see a double zig-zag hole like that - it kinda feels tricked-up and out-of-place. It took me a while to figure out a way to play this one and not shoot a 13 or something. I finally settled on a 5-wood to the left, just so I can ...

Re: Amedal GK - Fictional Course Full Release
I think the "fuzziness" is an illusion caused by most of the shades of green being very similar. I noticed that right away, and there are no (or few) flower beds or other contrasty objects such as bare lodge-pole pines. It gives the course more of a 2D appearance in some views. But everyth...

Re: Banff Springs 14th Hole Yardage
Banff is one of the most beautiful courses in the world and the view of the Banff Springs Hotel across the street from the 14th green (with the mountains behind it) is gorgeous. For many veteran Linksters it was the first course we played. Hi Jimbo, when I was 16 (in 1969), I spent the summer at th...

Re: Banff Springs 14th Hole Yardage
I find his courses to be of very good quality especially in light of how many he's cranking out in such a short time. In fact I was shocked the first one I played, I was thinking well this won't be much good, the guy's listed five courses in just two weeks (or whatever), but I was very pleasantly su...

Re: Amedal GK - Fictional Course Full Release
Funny thing is, on those severe doglegs I gave it my usual treatment, which is to hit a driver as hard as I can with draw or fade -- and immediately hit the trees 50 yards out I hadn't previously noticed. You made sure no one can "cheat" their way around the course

Re: Amedal GK - Fictional Course Full Release
Hi, I've just played a round, and I have to say it's a very nice-looking course, looks very natural. No obvious flaws such as floating trees, concrete rough, etc. I did find a few holes to be what I'd consider "tricked up", that figure-8 fairway on the (4th?) hole for example, and some ver...
