I'm back to work next week as well. Will definitely have much less time for courses, as I run and play on the LSPN European Tour

Re: Close House Colt Course

It's taken ages to get the front 9 pinned. As I suspected the greens needed a lot of work before I could even think about planting pins :wallbash:
The greens seem huge until you look at planting pins in usable spots :naughty:

Re: Why did some designers set the ladies tees as the longest tees?

On the course I'm working on at the moment there were tee boxes on Holes 1, 2 & 18 that were longer than any on the score card. So I have set those as Ladies tees, and will note it in the read me when I finally release the course. It will mean setting custom tees if you want to use them with the...

Re: Planting long grass

Pete I tend to use 2 or 3 different grasses, depending on the look I want to achieve. I often use 1 or 2 wide and short grasses, then a more square shaped taller wispy one to complement it. It's all down to what you want to achieve. On most of the courses I have built, I have always planted the heav...

Re: Planting long grass

I agree with using a test plot to get the density and look right with your textures

Re: Panorama from Goggle Earth

Looks like it might be a good enough resolution. Just need to be in the right frame of mind to take all the screenies and paste them together :naughty:

Panorama from Goggle Earth

Is it possible to make a panorama using Google Earth? Need to make one for Close House, but it could be difficult as the course slopes quite a lot, with the main view being along the southern edge in APCD.

Re: Close House Colt Course

HAHAHAHA Had a quick scout in Links and noticed an area of heavy rough by the 8th green was not planted as well. Also going to have to sort the greens before I pin them as some are just too steep. May have to slowly watch and pause the flyovers to try and get some rough idea. May be a while yet, as ...
