Re: Links on Windows 7 Ultimate x64?

Win 7 64 bit is great. Just make sure whatever CPU and motherboard you buy has Win 7 support. GPU's shouldn't be a problem. The last Intel supported CPU's were Gen 6. Motherboards vary for Win 7 support. Some are Win 10 only now, some still support Win 7. It's getting harder to build a decent Win 7 ...

Re: Bad Graphics

Screen resolution is now listed as 1920 x 1080 32 bit, within the Links Graphics options Previously that wasn't even a choice: only 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024 or 1280 x 720 Don't worry I'm not touching anything Thanks again BL That’s good, means everything is working and displaying correctl...

Re: Bad Graphics

Excellent, good to read you have it sorted. Yes, you need to change both Mode and Depth. Mode is your resolution setting, Depth is for 32bit. You likely already had 32bit working in the game last time but in the in-game menu it showed you an incorrect value of 16bit and you tried to change it. Don't...

Re: Bad Graphics

Viper Reset Depth from 0 to 1 - didn't do anything Current settings Default: value not set Depth 1 Device 0 Mode 1 Software 0 Windowed 0 Thanks for your thoughts BostonLefty You haven't changed resolution to your screen resolution so the game will still be displaying at 800x600. You need to change ...

Re: Bad Graphics

After installing a new version of Links w/ Nvidia and 1.07 - and enjoying playing and great graphics for about 2 weeks, I made the mistake of switching the Screen Graphic option. It was showing as 800 x 600 16-bit - although the game graphics were great - I was curious what 32 bit would look like. ...

Re: Anyone have gameplay/app problems after last windows update?

Just remembered, Intel CPU’s not supported after the 6th generation. Up to 9 now.
Microsoft are making sure they will eventually control everyone!

Re: Anyone have gameplay/app problems after last windows update?

The other thing people need to think about by using just one PC, you can keep say a Win 7 system, forget the updates, they don't matter but the problem you will have is buying new software and games. More and more games and software only work on Win 10. Two system set up is really the only way to go...

Re: Anyone have gameplay/app problems after last windows update?

Danny, The only issue with swappable drive bays is you need hardware capable of running on both Win 10 and Win 7. That option is being taken away for anyone buying a PC today. My Win 10 PC I have to run Win 10 so for any other OS, it has to be another PC. Win 10 is all about control. What is it abo...

Re: New laptop advice?

I've been doing some shopping and I'm considering buying a laptop with an Intel Core i7-9700H processor with a seperate NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4 GB video card. I don't think it has the integrated Intel graphics on the motherboard. Will that combo work without issues with Links 2003? Sounds like a ...
