Re: Win 11/ APCD work around

Im pretty sure Dan's version of APCD is the result of APCD at one point in time being installed properly, then copy-pasting the whole file directory from the APCD folder to a new location/computer. I have done it that way too, originally I had it installed, but not installing it seems to work fine s...

Re: SCOTT LEWIN

I sent both an email and a private message here to him in 2021 about completing his Beta. He never returned to his login on this site to see the private message, and he probably doesnt use the email address anymore. The public Beta is locked, and even if he returned, who knows if he would still have...

Re: Links Extender 2.5

No, Links Extender can only be the first step towards changing the look of textures, you cant change the look within Links Extender alone. I think this is best explained with an example, lets say I want to use a Fairway texture within one of Lez' courses, but I also want to make it slightly darker a...

Re: Another Links does not open in Windows 11 post.

Difficult to recommend stuff with no more info to go on than that, but check off the most basic ones: -Make sure you have patch 1.07 and the Nvidia patch. -Try to run Links as Admin and with Compatibility mode for Win 7. -Try High DPI scaling override. -Try launching from both LinksLauncher and Link...

Re: Links Extender 2.5

I dont know about sky files, I have only ever used Links Extender for extracting image files or tweak custom texture properties. I havent gotten Links Extender from that place in a while, but I think that download should be fine. I suppose the background image looks a little bit greyed out, if that ...

Re: Royal Portrush?

I appreciate the offer  but I dont think I have the energy to rebuild greens in their entirety from charts, even if more than 18th were available. I dont think I will do anything with Royal Portrush after all, the other day I tried to start minor tweaks to the old version but it felt too di...

Re: Links 2003 not working with Windows 10

I very much doubt that physical temperature is the factor as my temperatures within the case are very decent (GPU seldom above 35C and CPU seldom above 50C). All drives reporting low temperatures in the 20/30's. I wasnt speculating about too high temperatures, but rather too low, if anything. Anyho...

Re: Links 2003 not working with Windows 10

Did you try installing Links on both of your SSD and HDD (separately)? Excuse my language but what you describe about how it wont launch until after multiple times sounds so effing weird. I dont know too much about computers but the only thing I can think of that it reminds me of is when systems str...

Re: Shadow Creek by Dan DeShaney - Beta ready

About the fringe, the way the course's mesh is structured makes it troublesome to have a different look for the fringe around the greens compared to the fringe around the fairways, but I can probably make it slightly better with a lower planar scaling.

Re: Shadow Creek by Dan DeShaney - Beta ready

Non-reflective water is always tricky, because there is no way to make them look correct in all circumstances in Links. It depends on so many things, like the viewing angle, lighting, colour of the sky, wind, current, water purity, depth, material underneath... probably more... Some times, the most ...
