Re: General question

I imagine he used a path map using a similar technique to my 'Creating a bunker lip without seam blending' video that I posted prior to my other videos, many, many years ago!!
I can't remember how to post videos so I'll just post the link as text: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TZ8wSen_hs

Re: Curt Simms - Appreciation Society!!

As a designer I would also like to thank him for the fantastic custom trees he created. I used many of them on my courses and I would not have been able to create the look I was after without them. :tiphat:

Re: Golf+ in VR

You guys have aroused my curiosity about VR. I'd really like to know how VR affects your sense of balance. I have paralysis in my right foot, so I have to maintain my balance with my left leg, and at 78 I am concerned with falls. So what is it like when you are in your VR world. Do you feel stable ...

Re: Golf+ in VR

Does anyone know if someone with an Oculus 2 can join in on a game with someone on the Oculus 3? I'm wondering if the game versions are compatible... Yes. Both headsets use the same game. I should have mentioned Quest 2 as well, as that is a cheaper option, although graphics aren't as cris...

Golf+ in VR

I've recently picked up a Meta Quest 3 VR headset, and I have to say I'm blown away by Golf+ in VR! I've had VR on PC since 2016 and have played a few VR golf games over the last few years but this game is on another level IMO. It is SO good!! It comes with 3 fictional courses and quite a few differ...

Re: Stewart Parker

Good to see another GREAT from the past appearing on Links Corner. I haven't played Links since my brother's death in 2018, but I still pop in from time to time to see what's happening, and it's always nice to see names I recognise from the past who inspired me, returning!!

Re: Panorama - need help

Sad to hear that Daniel is in retirement now.... I'm sure he will be missed. He was such a fantastic help to so many designers and players, not only providing panos, 2D objects, custom skies, and other graphical contributions, but a lot of technical help as well, when people had difficulties. :clapp...

AI Generated assets for APCD

I was watching a YouTube video recently on AI generated art programs and was amazed at was was being produced. It seems like it may be the ideal way to create trees, bushes, etc for APCD. Has anyone experimented with Dall-E, Midjourney or Stable Diffusion, and tried to create easily maskable 2D obje...

Re: Crooked Stick Final

Thanks for the acknowledgement Ian. It's always nice to know that things you create are of use and provide enjoyment to others. I think that's what drives many APCD users to persist in spite of all the problems! I wish I could get back into playing Links again but I've been unable to find the motiva...

Re: Planting mystery

Because it's such a rare bug, the cause of this one may never be found with so few people designing these days. It might need a combination of things to occur before it happens, and with each designer working in different ways, and with different APCD settings in use, it may be impossible to pin dow...
