Re: Links is resizing everything else
Of small convenience I have found that if Links remains on my taskbar after playing and I have resized everything that needs it, I can then exit Links without bringing it up (necessitating another resizing of everything else) by End Tasking it from Task Manager. I suspect everyone knows that right c...

Links is resizing everything else
My desktop resolution is 2560x1440, so obviously there is no way to play Links at that resolution, and I wouldn't want to, I prefer playing at 1280x720. But every time I open or close the game, all my apps such as Chrome, Outlook, Adobe Reader and even Windows Explorer are greatly reduced in size su...

Re: nVidia fix issue
Yes, and even changed the folder where it was to be installed to the one where I installed Links (it was automatically going somewhere else)

Re: Upgrading from W10 to W11
Thank you Adelade. I have tried what you suggest including setting various display modes. All that does is change the size of the non-operating black screen I get when executing either Links Launcher or Links MMIII which are both set to run as admin in Win 7 mode and override high dpi settings. I wo...

Re: nVidia fix issue
Thank you sir. I do have a March 30, 2010 MMIII file. I'm thinking the reason for the black screen I have to kill using Task Manager might be because Links is so old, Win 11's Defender might be sandboxing it. But others I know have installed Links in Win 11 without problem. Running out of ideas.

nVidia fix issue
I had previously executed the nVidia fix from my Downloads folder instead of putting it in the Links folder before executing it, and didn't pay any attention to where it was going to put the "fix". Do you know what files are installed when you execute the fix? I would like to search for an...

Playing Links in Gameranger - Solution
Found a solution that works for me! Finally. Since moving from Win 7 to Win 10, I have been unable to play Links on GR and I just now found out why. It was because my Windows 10 account name in Win 10 had a space in it. It seems GR's server interprets a space as an ampersand, and when it looks in yo...

Re: Upgrading from W10 to W11
I've been using Links on XP, Win 7, Win 10, and now trying to get it to work in Win 11. I installed it as usual and ran it fine, created a player and took a few swings before updating it to 1.07. That seemed to work fine however I was still very limited in resolutions I could use, so I double clicke...

Re: Slow rendering
Thanks Armand. That gives me something to do over the weekend. :) N.B. I've now had to reduce resolution to 1024 x 768, lower picture quality slider and disable dynamic camera to minimize rendering. It's playable, at least on courses that aren't slow rendering for everybody else. and then... Voila! ...
