Isn’t it a rule of Links that a ball on the green will release if releasing is to the golfer’s disadvantage and backup if that action is to the disadvantage of he golfer?
This has been my experience, Shagboy!

Re: Holes In One, Links & Real Life.

In real life only one close call for a hole in one, stopping a foot to the right of the flagstick. Can't afford (money or time) to play as much golf as I would like to. Been playing Links since the old 3.5" floppy disk days, I don't remember if it kept track of player stats like Links 2003 does...

Re: USA Ryder Cup team

Good question, I found it interesting that Patrick Reed didn't make the team. I thought his experience would be useful with the squad, but his recent health issues and bristling personality did not help his case. I thought Kevin Na made a good case for being chosen. Webb Simpson was another one that...

Captain Nemo,

I don't know in Canada where you usually get CBS Golf Coverage, but here in Detroit (and I presume the entire US) the coverage is on CBS from 2:30 to 6:30 tonight.

Re: Informal Age Poll

I'm 51 years old here, every year on my half birthday, most people get the day off from work, cities hold parades and fireworks are shot off into all hours of the night. (January 4 is my birthday if you haven't figured it out yet! LOL!)

Re: Stats

Thanks Pete!

I had played a few rounds at Kiawah and no stats were recorded and I vaguely remembered discussion about the issue but hadn't gotten around to try and see if I could find it or post asking about it.

Thanks!

Re: Courses I'd like to see in Links 2003 Part 2

2 more good Michigan choices would be:
The Gailes in Oscoda (links style)
Red Hawk in Tawas

Re: Access Software

Aw man, great memories, nothing as exciting as getting a postcard from Access Software announcing the new course available for Links! I don't remember which course it was but I placed the order and my credit card that I provided for payment had expired and I got a new card with a new number, didn't ...

Re: Pasatiempo GC

Ian,

No problem at all, glad to help out! Was surprised I found it so easily, as I always say 'Every once in a while a blind squirrel finds a nut.'

I'm sure the course will be just fine as evidenced by your Peach Tree and Wade Hampton courses.

Re: Pasatiempo GC

Ian, You piqued my interest with your post, I looked at it from Google Maps and said why don't I check their website and scrolled down their webpage and found this: Pasatiempo inked a 30 year deal to bring recycled water to the course saving over 40 million gallons of fresh water annually. The stora...
