I think both apcd course design apps were similar but the 2003 could use the higher resolution textures. I might be wrong on this but the 2003 one allowed you to import your own tree and other objects where in the 2001 you couldn't. I'm sure a designer who has used both could chime in with more info...

Correct me if I'm wrong but there was a rule against using real courses as PTP, right? You are correct, Jimbo. They did that so the real courses wouldn't come after them for trying to make money on their courses. I think some designers got around that by creating fictional courses that were similar...

Play any course by Mike Jones. The greens on his courses have a lot of subtle breaks on them. You think you have a good read on your putt... Nope! You'll know what I mean after you play them a few times.
