Re: Planting last?

Zero repetitive trees? You are a more patient man than I am! I like the plant-as-you-go idea as you outline it though. Helps to see the hole as it will appear, which can dramatically change how it is experienced.

Re: Fixing Concrete Trees

Awesome, thanks everyone! Just wanted to make sure I had things right before updating my planting. Will save a backup, but it'd be a real b**** to have to replant the course :-)

Re: Fixing Concrete Trees

While we're on the subject, the "All Passthrough" option - is that safe for grasses? Or does that create issues? I know all this was documented back in the day, but I don't remember everything!

Re: Coming Soon-ish: Country Club of Harrisburg 2024

Got it, thanks Adelade! I think I may take the easy way out on that and do one version with the 2d tourney objects; the course is already made to a tournament setup, though I could consider adding some patches of deep rough as well.

Re: Coming Soon-ish: Country Club of Harrisburg 2024

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! I'm excited to finish this guy up :-) I didn't really want to do the pool or clubhouse, but since they are in view and in-play on 9 and 18 I figured I should :dunno:. Glad I did as they ended up looking pretty good! I haven't started on hole previews, but they ...

Fixing Concrete Trees

Wanted to check if there was an easy way to do this, but it seems like some of my trees had their "target box" switched when I synced up the 2001 library in a new version of APCD to plant some fences. I've updated the objects now, but the trees seem to remain in that "concrete" s...

Re: PGA TOUR 2K21 the new contender now w/Justin Thomas

Early versions were flat 2d photographs basically. Looked real but didn't have depth. 2003 (forget if 2001 did or not) has 3-dimensional models. This tech was "early" in 2003, so the models don't look great relative certainly to what you can see from 3d models today.
