Re: In Links should a ball on a concrete cart path be played or given a free drop?

I prefer to play it where it lies. No drop from cartpath. As already stated, many times, having to take a drop puts you in a bad spot for your next shot, while playing from the concrete is the same as playing from a fairway. No matter which of the options you choose, there is no penalty other than p...

Re: OLYMPIC GOLF

I know that the odds favour the US both in the size of the team and world ranking but I predict that either Corrie or Mac will be on the men's podium and Brooke will be on the women's podium. Take your best shot! BTW I have an idea for the next Olympics: Full Contact Archery. :scared: Is that anyth...

Re: Having Trouble Extracting St. George's Course

Hello! I would like to know if anyone in the Links Community might be able to help me with a problem I have had trying to extract the new St. George's Golf & County Club course into my Links Courses directory. Jeff Hi Jeff... For what it's worth, I never "extract" the courses from the...

Re: Increase FPS?

The game runs at 30-31 FPS. This makes the 3 click meter very "jerky" Is there a way to increase the FPS to 60+? That is the normal, and fastest frame rates you will get from Links. There's actually very little graphics movement going on in the game. The ball movement, and the golfer anim...

Thanks for that info Mr T. Very much appreciated. :cheers1:

Re: Links 2003 and Windows 11: is there cause for concern?

Hi guys. There's always the option to boot up to Linux from a USB drive. From what I hear, Links runs well on Linux. I've never used Linux before, but one of my sisters does. She boots up from a USB thumbdrive and runs almost all of her programs. She claims it's pretty much like using Windows, but ...

Re: Links 2003 and Windows 11: is there cause for concern?

There is no way to know till it’s released. There are still many ways to fix games that stop working even if Links was to break. Unfortunately some games can’t be fixed. Windows 10 killed Links LS 2000 but Links 2003 runs brilliantly well. We just have to wait. Do you know if Linux will run Windows...

Re: Coeur d'Alene Golf Course

There are two underground bathrooms on the course, the other one is under #7 tee. They made them like that so as not to take away from the looks of the course. Makes sense Glenn. I won't need to worry about ball washers or waste baskets either. They provide them with the golf carts. Dan
