Re: Locking a course

:dunno: My principal is that this is a Free Site and everything on it should be the same A lot of people don't have the know how on how to use, or even the funds to splash out on a Photo program, Sharing textures can only lead to better courses in the future and I do agree that members have the righ...

Re: APCD issues:red grass and no foresting

:notworthy: Thanks for adding what I failed to explain, yes a plant will not show up in the planting window if its been planted and either removed from the set or a different set is brought in. In my case I only use one set and do one course at a time. so if it doe's not show up in the window it's c...

Re: Locking a course

:notworthy: I once submitted a course that was all laid out and playable but with no plants on it, I left it open for any newcomer to get the hang of things and do what they wanted with it. like change the layout or have a go at putting plants on it. Practice makes perfect I agree with you that the ...

Re: APCD issues:red grass and no foresting

:notworthy: I find this post very interesting, as I have had all sorts of problems with planting sets and corrupt objects. You say that if you select the red grass it doe's not show in the planting window. This is a sure sign that the object is corrupt and no amount of tweeking it in photoshop will ...

Re: Locking a course

:wallbash: Sage Don't waste your time on this one, you won't get any answers
The simple truth is that a course is locked because the designer doe's not want
( To share anything on it ) :dunno:  If a course is locked I don't keep it

Re: APCD issues:red grass and no foresting

If when you select the grass in APCD and it doe's not show in the window
then the grass is corrupt. just delete it and see what happens . do the
most simple things first. Corrupt objects do all sorts of wild things !

Re: Tape ruler in APCD

:dunno: After reading the post I used the tape measure as normal I am using XP, everything was normal but when I tried to copy the screen with my screen print the tape measure just vanished, the dotted line and distance were still showing O.K Strange discovery. When my last computer packed in I boug...

Re: Forest planting issue with copied APCDs

:notworthy: Hi Adalade I have read your post several times and there is one remark that rings a bell Sometime ago I was given a course to look at, the problem was that down one side of the fairway nothing could be planted, and the plot was completly bare. I made a copy of the course, box selected th...

Re: Planting Ideas

:dunno: Hi Adalade, I am a bit confused about the lawns you mention, if it's not a Fairway or Tee area it's supposed to be Rough, maybe the rough texture I have used is not rough enough looking the other option would be to forest grass over the area. As yet I have never used the foresting tool. As I...

Re: Planting Ideas

 Yes I agree, sometimes I get carried away with the planting, I think it comes from one of my other hobbies. I like to draw and colour landscapes using Pastel Crayons, if you have played any of my courses you will know that I prefer to do a woodland one rather than the open Links type. I ha...
