Re: Golf giveth and golf taketh away

I played breezy conditions, hardness-moderate, speed-slow challenging, and pin position difficult. It was the 2009 version of Augusta. I'll have to download the new version and try it. I tried the faster green speeds but the frustration level was too much.

Golf giveth and golf taketh away

Golf loves to tease you and then have reality crashing down. I was playing Augusta National at elite level with powerstroke. I got to the 18th hole five under, the best I ever played. I took a deep breath and told myself play conservative and go for par. I hit a three wood to the center of the fairw...

Break meter inaccurate

I play Powerstroke elite and sometimes the break meter seems inaccurate. I was playing the seventh hole at Augusta. I was in the middle of the green putting back downhill 12 feet for par. The break meter said it broke sharply right to left, so I aimed right of the hole based on that. The putt went s...

Re: Links 2003 launch problems

I had the exact same problem after the latest Win 10 update. It screwed up several other programs. After over a week of playing around with settings that didn't work I got it fixed. I was using the DG Voodoo fix with the dlls from the x84 folder. I removed those and just put in the single dll from t...

Re: Wondering if I should get new monitor

I did get this monitor- ASUS ROG PG279Q . It is amazing. I can see individual blades of grass, and playing powerstroke I'm hitting the snap much more consistently.

Wondering if I should get new monitor

I currently have HP Omen 27 with 165 hz refresh rate. Even with contrast set high it's sometimes hard to see subtle undulations on the green. Are there any monitors that give close to photo sharpness? Is a 240 hz refresh rate something to consider? What factors should I look for. The number of monit...

Re: I don't know what happened

I'm sorry it took so long to get back but you won't believe it but I got it to work! It was actually something dumb I did. I was playing around with the bios. ( I normally know not to do that if you don't know what you're doing, but something got a hold of me that day. Mea culpa.) I noticed a button...

Re: I don't know what happened

I'm taking a deep breath and getting ready to reinstall Windows from scratch. It really shouldn't be a big deal as most of the installed programs are things I haven't used in years. I'm getting paranoid. I know logically it should work but what if it doesn't?

Re: I don't know what happened

I did try that. I even deleted the entire players folder and let it be recreated. You're right I didn't use the Norton removal tool. I used Revo uninstaller. I'll try that. I ran Bitdefender free scan and it found 3 trojans which were deleted. Still not working.

Re: I don't know what happened

I went through task manager and ended processes for several items. I don't remember installing any new programs. I did uninstall two programs I don't use anymore -System Mechanic and Realtek player. I uninstalled Norton Security to see if that was causing the issue. Out of curiosity I uninstalled ag...
