Real Tournaments 2025

Work has begun on RT2025, using the bones of RT2020 as a starting point. I simply could not let the flawed RT2024 be my final work, and have yet to forgive myself for not editing the PGA Championship event. We are now at a point in course availability to where there's more venues than weeks in a 24-...

Re: Real Tournaments 2024

UPLOADED moments ago; should be ready as a Christmas gift to the community. I do notice that purse amounts have gone dramatically up, in several places. Of course, I had to use 2023 amounts. This season will rival RT22 in quality. Get your edits done before Kapalua!

Real Tournaments 2024

Thanks to a few schedule anomalies, and where the majors are, this season writes itself. We have the courses for all 4 majors, and the Olympic Games happen in the 24th week, right before the FedEx Cup playoff. I should have it ready by mid-December, in time for a start at Kapalua (or Sea Island, as ...

Re: Sequoyah National Golf Club

This is a course for masochists. V2 should not change that, but yeah, it took 3 rounds to finally break par, and I still benefited from some lucky bounces out of the aforementioned border areas. Right up there with Augusta, in terms of the challenge, as befits a club with "National"in the ...

Re: Informal Age Poll

58, feels like 90 ATM. Been playing since 2002, so the Links 2003 game is pretty much it for me. Probably will be playing online a bit more often, in the coming year.

Real Tournaments 2023 CANCELLED

There are simply too many challenges ahead of me to be able to create a quality season for 2023. Not only does the final PGA schedule present numerous logistical challenges, but life is also largely getting in the way. I have come to the realization that RT2022 was my finest, and therefore should be...

Re: Real Tournaments 2023

Ultimate style was born of necessity. When there is no crz available for the specific year's venue, I use four courses that have hosted that same major in the past, and call it "ultimate." We were lucky in 2022: All four majors had crz files. I observe that we don't really have a decent cr...

Re: Real Tournaments 2023

The lineup is set. Now, it will be a matter of editing, and perhaps playing the waiting game for new course releases. This is a grab from the 8/1/22 release of the PGA Tour schedule. It is not yet up on pgatour.com: J 2-8 Sentry Tournament of Champions Plantation Course at Kapalua Kapalua, Maui, Haw...

Real Tournaments 2023

As the real world PGA Tour winds down for the season, the focus turns to readying the next year's Career Mode offering. This will be my final Real Tournaments season. After 20 years of Links 2003, it is time for the torch to be passed, much as it has already been passed, among the course-designer el...

Re: TPC Twin Cities

As one who usually awaits a final, the obvious question after reading becomes "when?"
