Re: Arcadia Bluffs

Sage - I think the wet/green grass looks better with the underlying texture. It's more subdued and blends better. The dry grass looks a bit too bright and is almost overwhelming to the eye. It's looking really good!

Re: Terrain Painter

I think this is fairly common. I usually noticed it when I was attempting to add a vert in an area with other existing verts in very close proximity, or if the area had a sharp elevation change, but not always. My usual course of action, instead of deleting the extra verts, was to undo (the vert ins...

Re: Favourite Courses of 2023

It's been a good year! Interesting that the vast majority of the year's new courses were real courses. I guess that's not surprising with the emergence of LIDAR imports, plus most folks seem to prefer real courses (especially ones that host/have hosted tour events). It's hard to argue with courses r...

Re: Meanwhile, 10 years later.....

Hi Todd, Happy New Year! Overall doing pretty well, how about you? I've been dusting off Links occasionally, not much time to play, but it's great to see so many quality courses still being produced. Your release of Desperation Hills inspired me to take a spin around my own course that's been WIP fo...

Re: Meanwhile, 10 years later.....

Finally got a chance to play this. This is such an excellent course, Todd! Love the desolate look, the planting is so well done to accentuate the shapes and ridges of the dunes in the distance, and of course the textures are great too (especially the bunker sand). Completely immersive in the sense o...

Re: Sage

Wow, glad to hear you are home and doing OK, Sage. I didn't even know there was an option for dialysis at home. Best wishes for your health and glad to have you back here on Links Corner.

Re: Barrens Upper Course

I played all 18 holes, didn't have any issues with crashes or disappearing cups. He did mention in the notes on the download page for the previous version of the beta that he had ticked the box of death (allow non-regulation fairways) so that would likely explain the disappearing cup issue. Crashes ...

Re: Shadow Creek and Others...

Dan, I'm so sorry for your situation with you and your wife. My heart breaks reading how much you miss her and I pray that you will be able to move her closer to you, and that the emotional and financial burdens will be eased. Our health care and insurance systems seem to be so broken. I pray for yo...
