I do recall reading that thread and a so called 423mb "patch". That is more than just a patch I suspect that would be just about every exe and dll there is. The size alone makes me question it. Without concrete evidence, I put it down to vapourware. I'm running Links on 11th and 13th gene...

I still can't get the game to start but at least I now have the Display Settings part of the registry so I can at least change video modes.

Has anyone got this working using the Adrenaline drivers ? Because I think my issue is either that driver or a possible dll failure / overwrite.

John_iv is running Links in Windowed mode so that is something that could certainly be tried. I can run it in both. Just alt-enter to bounce between them. No I didn't. I said I had tried the Nvidia patch (as it use to work in the past with my 6600XT).

I think it has me beat. my procedure was: Disconnected internet. I used the spreadsheet to track down possible conflicts or files left over from an old installation but couldn't find anything. Installed Links 2003 from CD's to Windows 10 installed 1.07 Patch as admin installed Nvidea patch as admin....

Thanks I will give that a try tonight and see how I go. I never thought to disconnect the internet
