HIO on the Nation Golf Links 2023 course....the designer has outsmarted an upped the wind a bit...so this maybe no longer possible...but might yet be...lol...think it was a punch drive

Cheers for that Linkster....plentiful info there...not just in relation to a track surface accuracy...but for all Links designers....I thought maybe QGis may have had some color coding facility wehereby you could isolate the track surface itself...so as to FOCUS and finetune the accuracy of said iso...

I think I TRIED WGT game many moons ago...I thought the physics wasn't up to much...I may be wrong...but I think they used photogrammetry on those courses..and indeed some looked dang good....thinking back here..but I think the animations were not up yo much either but as you say it is free...where ...

what about mip mapping....is there not some fancy dds compression that can be used on a 2 k/4 k image :bookh:

In places ..the trees look great...I admire the inventive method of sand spray around the bunkers...only played 2 holes...when I seen how bad the trees looked close up on the 2nd hole at tee off(very jarring)....its a dang pity...that theres no way of creating a high res tree(bark) texture....immers...
