Thak you, Andy and Pete. That worked! I downloaded "Driving.rng" to my DropBox and moved it to the Links\Courses folder.
I must have deleted the file at some time in the past.

When I go to LESSONS from the main screen, then select a lesson to try, I can only get the error message "This course is not compatible with the saved game file" Not sure what that means or how to get to the lessons, but would appreciate any help in solving the problem.

I installed the 2 patches and Links 2003 loaded correctly. I have the graphics display set to 1440 x 900 - 16 bit and it fills the screen nicely. Thanks for these suggestions. I will contact my friend and try these. Those 2 patches look promising as I recall running them on my copy many years ago!
