Great, i removed all .sky files, one at a time. after all were removed, the game works fine now. Thanks for the help!!!!

I downloaded links 2003 onto a laptop running windows 10 microsoft edge. I followed all the advise, downloaded the the 1.07 patch, the nvidia patch. I also just changed the video to 64 bit.
