Re: Choosing field and cut sizes in career mode

Alphington, The field size for a "standard" PGA Tour event is 156, but there are quite a few exceptions. Some tournaments are designated as "invitational" events (even though the word "invitational" might not appear in the tournament name) and have a reduced field. For...

Re: Choosing field and cut sizes in career mode

Thanks for the info Jimbo, unfortunately I've no skills in developing something that could model all that! :bookh: It's making me think that I might just put all 200 into most/all events seeing as how we can't model the real structure very well anyway. I suppose in the real world, you only have so m...

Choosing field and cut sizes in career mode

I'm preparing to start in career mode for the first time based on recent PGA tour schedules and more or less the top 200 players. I'm wondering what others do regarding choosing field and cut sizes for your tournaments. Do you start all 200 players in all/most events as Highfade recommends, or do yo...

Re: Tutorial for making a Soundscript?

Don't know if this is of use but I read recently that the BBC have made thousands of their sound effects freely available. Just search for BBC Sound Effects.

Re: Career mode: do you play alone?

I would definitely say that Links players utilize these photos for various reasons. As far as I am concerned however, I only use them for the real pros that I have created and that are active in my Pro Roster. Thanks jurg, that's how I plan to use the photos as well. Like you I have created a pro r...

Re: Links Soundscript Archive

Update - apologies but after Pete's reply about my DL link I checked again and it is wanting to DL an exe file so PLEASE DO NOT DL. I do not know what has happened as I managed to DL Pete's files earlier without incident (they are the actual files not exe files). I have those files though and I will...

Re: Links Soundscript Archive

Sorry to hear that - my antivirus (eset nod32) did not intervene and the downloaded file is working in Links. You are right to be wary though and perhaps I was too unaware... I used Explorer to download and have had no issues of having to log back into LinksCorner. I will get a copy of malwarebytes ...

Re: Links Soundscript Archive

Happy birthday Pete! Thanks for your reply and being in the mid-60s myself (that's age, not golf score!) I do remember the floppy days which at the time seemed so new and amazing. As someone who played Links briefly a long time ago and have recently come back to it with enthusiasm, I'm really impres...
