LINKS CORNER REVIEW |

His readme:
"This course is my first ever attempt. A few of my buddies have tried it and all have agreed that I should make it available to everyone else. The course gets better and better after each hole as growing in confidence and discovering new methods helped. Play and enjoy."
His colors for the tee boxes, mowed fairway, rough, greens and fringe were all stock and blended well, and there wasn't a first cut. The trees were repetitive, and when they were red it looked worse. The bunkers had sharp edges and the fairways, especially on hole # 3 looked terrible with its distorted shapes. This hole also had what I called the hill that ate me; it was huge and misshapen. Many of the greens were very heavily sloped and unnecessarily difficult where others had a nice putting break to them. The fairways were medium in size except where he decided it had to be a challenging hole then they were narrow, The greens varied in size. His hazards, besides the course, were, rock fields, bunkers, water, creeks, jungle, forest and a jeep, the jeep wasn't a hazard but why. Some of the greens were elevated, I mean elevated like a stage at a concert, and they just rose from the ground like a giant pillbox. He had buildings and other objects that I couldn't identify but one kept showing up in the fairway wearing kilts. Hole # 10 looked like it had tombstones scattered about and on hole # 13 there were orange boulders.
His caddie was excellent. He had draws and fades but the hole shapes were not done very well, they were at angles that shouldn't be allowed on a golf course, real or virtual. As you read in his rather brief readme his buddies said the course was nice. I have to disagree, I have the obligation to play and write about it. He said as the course goes on the holes get better because he gets more experience, then why not go back and rebuild the holes that were the worse of the 18 rather than stick us with them. I have too many screen shots to post so I will choose carefully. I m happy that he enjoyed building this course, I truly am, but why should we have to play an experiment. It's a small download and it is playable, by that I am saying that all the greens had a cup so you could go on to the others. I want to say don't download it, don't download it, I feel better now that I said it.
Reviewer Note:
I am a player not a designer and therefore rate a course as a player for other players.
